Specifies requirements for the design and construction of tankers intended for the road transportation of flammable liquids that are chemically stable and have a vapour pressure at 46 degrees Celsius not exceeding 126 kPa or 136 kPa absolute for small compartment or large compartment tanks respectively. Such tankers may be specifically designed and constructed as road tankers, or may be conventional trucks provided with transportable tanks and thus used temporarily as tankers.
